1- Temporary Work Permit (TWPs)

This permit is intended for long-term employment and is granted for an initial period of two years, with the possibility of renewal.
Romania is a country with a rising economy and every year it attracts skilled workers from all over the world and grants them work permits and visas. In order to be considered for the visa, you need to submit a valid work application and sign the applicable work contract with the employer. After passing the work qualification tests, you can submit your request for a Work permit in Romania to the Romanian government. All requested documents must be valid and any errors will cause the visa to be rejected. These documents must be translated into English.
The required documents to submit when applying for a work visa in Romania are:
• copy of birth certificate / passport
• Two 3×4 color photos with white backgrounds taken recently

• Valid passport with at least six months of validity remaining
• Proof of educational qualifications and professional experience
• Medical insurance coverage for the duration of your stay in Romania
• Criminal record clearance certificate from your home country
• Proof of accommodation in Romania
• Employment contract or letter of intent from the employer in Romania
• Planned date of travel
• Providing previous visas (if any)
• Copy of temporary permit (if applicable)
When you got a work permit in Romania through a job offer, the permit is valid for 1 year in most cases, except for skilled workers, which is 2 years. In order to stay out of trouble, we strongly recommend that you renew your Romanian work permit 1 month before the expiration date.
People who have a Romanian work visa and have worked legally in this country for 6 years can apply for permanent residence in Romania. This request must be made in Romanian and by the applicant themselves and submitted with the following documents:
• Passport
• Documents related to living conditions
• A certificate of no criminal record from both the country of origin and the Romanian government
• Medical health certificate
• Proof of health insurance
Subsequently, a 5-year residence permit is issued to the applicant and after that, the person can apply for citizenship in Romania. All this can be possible if you decide to apply for a work permit in Romania.
