Every year, the Romanian government offers full-fund scholarships for non-EU citizens in coordination with its Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Romania Government Scholarship is offered for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees.
The duration of your studies in Romania at the undergraduate level with this scholarship is 3 to 6 years, at the master’s level it is 1.5 to 2 years, and for the doctorate degree, it is 3 to 4 years.
In order to promote the Romanian language and culture, beneficiaries of scholarships awarded by the Romanian government for undergraduate and graduate studies will study only in the Romanian language. Exception: Ph.D. Romania government scholarship holders can study in Romanian or a foreign language determined by the doctoral faculty. If the Ph.D. candidate chooses to study in English in Romania, they will have to provide an English language certificate.
The Romania Government Scholarship is offered for all fields of study in Romanian universities. Among these disciplines are architecture, visual arts, Romanian culture and civilization, journalism, political and administrative sciences, engineering, educational sciences, social and human sciences, technical studies, oil and gas, agricultural sciences, etc. Scholarships are not awarded in the fields of medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy.

To apply for this scholarship, you must do it through the online portal. For more information about this scholarship, you can also visit the Romanian government website and register your application.
After receiving the e-mail confirming acceptance of the scholarship, the applicant must apply for a Romanian student visa. This visa is issued according to the duration of the study. The duration of the scholarship is in accordance with the duration of the student’s education, and if it exceeds the specified period, the payment will not be made.
Every year, the country of Romania awards full-fund scholarships of the Romanian government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to citizens from outside the European Union who intend to study in Romania. In addition to people from outside the European Union, the full-fund scholarship of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Romanian Government includes Romanian citizens of origin, members of diplomatic missions and their family members, and international employees of organizations based in Romania.
The Romania Government Scholarship does not cover studying medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy in Romania. The items covered by the Romanian government scholarship include exemption from paying university tuition and registration fees, free accommodation, a monthly salary of 65 euros for bachelors, 75 euros for masters, and 85 euros for Ph.D. international students.
